July meeting

The Johnson County Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, July 12, 6:30 PM - 8:15 PM at the Cleburne Public Library, 302 W. Henderson. Our speaker will be La Cata Starr Brown, Teacher, Traditional Story-teller, Lecturer, Artist and a Genealogist specializing in American Indian lineage. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.

1940 U. S. Census Indexing Update

The 1940 FamilySearch indexing project has reached the halfway point!  Over 125,000 volunteers have indexed 75 million records and 18 states and territories are now searchable by name.  Texas is now 48% indexed.
