As a genealogist specializing in the use of technology and social media to improve genealogical research and to interact with others in the family history community, Thomas MacEntee relies upon his 25 years of experience in the information technology field. Thomas is a nationally known genealogy speaker and author. He has spoken at national conferences and institutes including RootsTech, Federation of Genealogical Societies conference, National Genealogical Society conference, Association of Professional Genealogists Professional Management Conference and the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy.
As the creator of GeneaBloggers.com, Thomas has organized and engaged a community of over 2,800 bloggers to document their own journeys in the search for ancestors. Better known in the genealogical community as the “Genealogy Guru,” Thomas is the webmaster of the popular blogs, High-Definition Genealogy and Hack Genealogy, and is a regular on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
